Action Block: List

This feature is only supported for 360Dialog, Meta & GupShup (WhatsApp API Provider)

The “List” action block allows you to render a list of items to the user on WhatsApp. Furthermore, this list of items can be grouped into categories.

You can render up to 10 list items using this action block which opens up in a modal view.

How do I set it up?

Step 1: Add action block on canvas by clicking on ‘+’

Step 2: Choose List

Step 3: Configure it on right panel

Click on ‘List’ action block to open up the configuration panel on the right side of the screen. You can configure following as per your requirement

Define Message:

Define the message text that is shown along with the button which opens the list modal.

1. Header (Optional) – Displays this text in a bold format
2. Body – Displays the text in a normal format
3. Footer (Optional) – Displays the text in a greyed out format
4. Button Name – Text of the button which open the list

Define List of options:

As the name of the block suggests, it consists of a list of items that are displayed in a modal. These items could be a part of a category or just loosely listed.

First, create the categories that you want to associate the list items in.

Next, create the list of items that you want to show when the modal opens up and define the following,

* Item Name
* Item Description
* Category

You can create upto 10 list items and 10 list categories

Define Variable:

Define the variable that will be storing the input / list item selected by the visitor

Please note we only save the Item Name in the variable and not its description / category
